:( Click to report rating    9/2/09 1 4 1 His staff are constantly rude and unhelpful, especially over the phone when trying to answer a simple question or make an appointment. I stick with him only because a) I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes in the waiting room, and b) his office is a block from where I work. I rarely visit the doctor, but if I did so any more often, I'd definitely switch.

:) Click to report rating    7/13/09 5 5 5 I am very impressed with Dr. Schaprio. He is very knowledgable and caring. I have seen him for minor health issues but we talked about the issue and treatment options. I have recommended him to friends and will continue to do so.

:) Click to report rating    2/4/09 3 4 4 I am kind of surprised by these comments. Dr. Schapiro has been great. He talks through things if I have questions. He moves quickly, but I appreciate that. I recommend him.

:) Click to report rating    11/27/08 4 4 4 My experience with him has been good. I haven't had major health issues but my yearly physicals have been on time and he has answered all my questions. I do hope he reads the other comments and makes things better.

:( Click to report rating    5/5/08 1 2 1 Dr. Schapiro is constantly in a rush during visits and doesn't take the time to answer questions. His staff is rude and not helpful. After a major hand injury, I was unable to see the orthopedic specialist despite being squeezed into his schedule because Dr. Schapiro required me to come in for an appointment to write a simple referral required by my insurance and apparently he/his staff couldn't put me into his schedule in order to write the referral. End result - I was not able to get treatment for this injury because Dr. Schapiro did not write me a referral in a timely manner so that I could see the orthopedic doctor promptly after my injury. Whenever I was sick or in an emergency, I was never able to get an appointment. He has also suggested particular lab tests and medications which were not the most advisable so I question his competence too. I am switching primary care doctors asap, he and his staff are awful

:( Click to report rating    2/13/08 1 4 1 The doctor and his staff are not on the ball. Getting a prescription (which should be a relatively easy task) is drawn out for days...first he writes the wrong prescription...then the staff doesn't return calls from the pharmacy. Getting a blood test should be easy right? Not if he doesn't draw enough blood so you have to go back a second time. Then he never bothers calling you with the results. 'Oh, you want the results? You have to come and get them, we don't send results through the mail anymore.' And like a previous reviewer said, he acts rushed as hell. The only plus is he has been on time for my appointments.

:) Click to report rating    12/4/07 3 1 3 I like him generally...however, he needs to manage his waiting room/wait time better. I always wait a long time to see him. His front desk lady is a bit abrasive. One weird thing--you can only pay in cash. This is a hassle for many people. Dr. Schapiro--remember quality, not quantity. Healthcare is at his best when it is a service, not an industry.

:( Click to report rating    5/14/07 1 1 Dr. Schapiro is never on time and makes appts. every 5 or 10 minutes, which means he has NO time to spend talking to patients or getting to know their problems. It took me about 2 hours to see him, I was waiting on the waiting room forever... He makes it very clear he has no time for you and rushes through the appointments like a mad man. I had about 4 appointments with him and never got any issues resolved because he just rushes through the room with his notepad and writes off pills without even listening. I hated my visits with him and I am looking for another doctor immediately. I don't advise anyone to go there. It is a waste of your time.
