:) Click to report rating    1/25/10 5 5 5 5  I came to see Dr. Ma after my eye was severly damaged during lasik surgery. He did his best to repair the damage. My retina detached 2 months later and Dr. Ma repaired that as well. Since sept '08 Dr. Ma has been working to restore the sight in my eye. I still have a long way to go but I am condfident that everything that can be done for me will be done.DR. Ma is the best!

:) Click to report rating    10/2/09 4 2 5 5  I have been seeing Dr. Ma for 14 years. He is often running far behind as he accepts patients with emergencies throughout his day. As I first saw him as one of those emergencies, I have no problem waiting extra time. As a doctor he is patient about explaining diagnosis and treatment. Unlike some specialists I have seen he speaks to me as an intelligent and interested party and doesn't ignore my input. I needed to catch a ferry to see him the first time, and he waited until after hours to see me. His dedication to his patients is obvious. I highly recommend him.

:) Click to report rating    4/10/09 5 5 5 5  I've been seeing Dr. Patrick Ma for nearly 3 years now after suffering an initial retinal detachement follow by a macular detachement weeks later. I've been typically going in for appointments every 8 weeks and have never encountered extremely long waits. I previously was dealing with Dr. Ross who I found to be very ubrupt and failed to listen or answer my questions when i had them. His initial response to my injury was quite bluntly "you'll just have to live with your visual impraiment, there is nothing you can do. I have since gone to Dr. Ma who was prepared to attempt different treatments and did see the potential in improving my vision. I am happy to report that over the coars of the last few years my vision while still blurry has improved significantly since visiting Dr. Ma. For any patients who are looking for a Dr. who is honest but also sensitive to your conditions as a patient who has gone throough a pretty big ordeal losing their eyesight, i would strongly recommend Dr. Ma.
