Long wait times. Had cataract surgery on both eyes April 12 2025. Follow up April 14th 2025 could not see out of left eye. Dr. said just a slow healer. April 17TH next follow up, still could not see out of left eye. Dr. said I have an infection and need emergency surgery or I may lose eye. May 12th had another surgery to clean up emergency surgery, still no sight in left eye. He was not sure what to do next, he said this maybe a long process, he said trust him he has been doing this for a long time! He then passed me off to his colleague, who said he should not had done what he did and I will never see out of the left eye again. NOW she has passed me off to another clinic to have eye removed, ALL I CAN SAY IS RUN FROM THIS PLACE !!! Short staff , overbookings, not a very clean place !!

Wait times seem a little excessive and often standing room only.

Last Friday was my second visit to this clinic and the first meeting with Dr. Salyani. I was already in the chair when the doctor was out in the hallway reprimanding one of his staff people for her shortcomings. I felt this was very inappropriate and unprofessional, to do this within earshot of a client. He was upset with the staff person and it set the tone of my appointment. He thought I was there for a cataract assessment but on the previous visit I explained why I needed to have this appointment for the progression of age related macular degeneration. He seemed upset that I didn't know what was injected by Dr. Muni. it was, overall, an unpleasant experience.

No one there cares about our complaints. It’s all about the money for him. He barely looks you in the eye and is not remotely interested in you as a patient/person. I call a dozen times to follow up on a single issue and always receive an excuse as to why I have not received a call back, usually it’s because the doctor is away or busy or they haven’t had a chance to speak to him etc. This goes on for months. I’m stunned at the incompetency and have never experienced such poor service.

Dr Solyani is amazing . I've been suffering from annoying eye floaters for years. I was referred to this doctor for laser vitreolysis. For anyone reading this I am happy to say I just recently underwent the treatment and I already feel joy and happiness. He is one of the only people in Canada to do this treatment and I believe he is the best. He will give you all the details and address any of your concerns . I am so happy to have finally found relief . Thank you so much!

Wait times are worse than ever...he has known about this issue for years and has done nothing to address it - speaks volumes about who he is....I wish there was a zero star rating available. Putting senior citizens through this hell once a month takes a special kind of cruel.

Dr Salyani saved my vision. Those complaining about wait times need to manage their expectations. You can always take a book, wait in your car etc. The whole health care system is impacted by long wait times ie long waits for surgeries, emergency care etc

Arrogant, arrogant, arrogant!! The most arrogant doctor I have ever seen. Will never return to this office. The office itself is NOT accessible making it very difficult for anyone with an assisted device to enter/exit. The wait times are absurd. And, the doctor himself does not say much to his patients (he just walks in and out of his examination rooms with little to say) and, makes you feel inadequate if you ask any questions.

Couldn't care less that he makes senior citizens wait 1-3 hours everytime!! Or he would have fixed it...awful

Dr. Asif Salyani's response

Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. We have actually implemented many new clinic protocols that have significantly decreased our wait times. Patients are often in and out of our office within 45min-1hr, this time includes all testing and the visit with the doctor! As a specialists office these times are highly impressive. We do value our patients and their time and always strive to make your experience in our office better while helping you realistically set your expectations when attending a specialists appointment.
