Not so much Dr Margolis but the people that work there are not about customer service! I had to bring my glasses back 3 times, had to pay for things that I did not order and did not end up with! But no credit could be issued. but the worst thing is the customer service, they kept saying we made it right for you, after three times - 6 months later and $1000 later! I will never never return to this office!!! First time I was there 3 hours, 2nd time waited 1 hour before I saw anyone!

I had no issues with Dr. Margolis' professional abilities, I found him to be a very cold person and intimidating in his style. He dressed down one of his staff members in front of me for a problem that was not even her issue. I swore not to return to him after that. The process also took a very long time as he takes on too many client at a time and you spend extra time in the waiting room. The rest of the staff were very nice. Also they charge an extra $40 to have your eyes dilated that is over and above your eye exam. You don't know this until you are sitting in the chair.

Dr. Margolis is not going to win any awards for his chair-side manner, but I feel confident about his medical knowledge and skills. He has nice offices and many of his staff members are pleasant and communicative. I've started buying my glasses elsewhere, though, because the optical department is in a constant state of confusion due, it seems, to the ongoing churning of employees. The billing department is a catastrophe. My bill usually contains major errors. So, I leave polite voicemail which the system promises will be returned within 48 hours. It never is, even after repeated attempts. Often, the billing department's mailbox is full, so no message can even be left. It can take many, many months of persistent effort to get a billing error straightened out. Bottom line: Dr. Margolis is technically competent, but after several years as his patient, I'm in the market for a new ophthalmologist with a decent billing department. I can't take the aggravation any longer.

Completely focused on making money at the patients expense. They are playing medical coding games trying to subvert low eyemed copay for more lucrative Medical ins copay. Also they nickel and dime you out of pocket. Charging extra for eye drops, standard inspections, etc. They also put you in front of the salesperson for a hard sell while your eyes are dialating which is crazy. All the other comments from other users are true. I have also noticed that on some review sites he has faked positive comments and or had negative ones removed.

I found Dr. Margolis to be very informative and educational with my eye care needs. I chose him through high recommendations and researching his clinical outcomes. He provides the newest technology and products and delivers excellent care. My laser eye surgery couldn’t have gone better and I have beyond perfect vision thanks to the time and energy Dr. Margolis put into my care. I have sense referred many friends and family members to his practice. They have all had a great experience and have come out of his office feeling good about their care. I would highly recommend Dr. Margolis for all the services he provides.

Seems competent but definitely lacks any bedside manner. Found him less than informative when recommending minor excision surgery. Took over two weeks and badgering of their office to get biopsy results. You should research him more before committing to use his services.

Have to wait unreasonably and excessively long times each visit.

Dr. Margolis seems to be well skilled but he tries to see way too many patients in 1 day. He does not make time for polite chit chat - and I ended up seeking the services of another doctor because he just comes off as unpleasant.

Heartless, rude, and incompetent! Dr. Margolis took one very brief look at my eye and then told me I had a mass in my eye. When I asked what he meant by a "mass", he said "A mass. An atypical mass or tumor." Then he stood up, handed me a business card of another ophthalmoligist, and told me to go see this person instead. And then he walked out of the room. He never even gave me a chance to ask him questions about this "tumor". How can a doctor be SOOOO cold as to tell a patient they have a tumor and then stand up and walk out on them? I would not send my worst enemy to this man. I am very fortunate that he referred me to someone other than him for further care!!
