I will give him negative stars if I can!Dr Yaremchuk is Awful!! I was very manipulated by him as a patient. He at first suggested a mid facelift, which he then damaged my right side of facial nerve during the surgery. Even after four years, I am still left with involuntary twitch under my right eye. Also, I cannot close my right eye without twisting my face. As stupid as I was, I went back to him a year later and got Orbital Rim Implants. These implants are supposedly designed by him. Later I was told by several other plastic surgeons that the implants were way too thick and large for my facial frame, as a result, they bulged out under my skin. I went to him and asked him to trim it down, at first he refused. I then begged him and paid extra, he finally agreed to trim it. The corrective surgery was not successful, so I did two more surgeries to correct it. After three surgeries, the implants were still completely visible on my face, in fact they looked the same as before the corrective surgeries. Finally, I paid more money, and asked him to take them out completely, by that time, it was my fourth corrective surgery!!!! Guess what, he told me that he took the implant out, but he didn't. Not only I can still see and feel them on my face, it was confirmed by other surgeons that the implants are still there. He basically took my money and lied to me!! He is a nightmare, do not waste your money, and let him manipulate you like he did to me!
I had 2 surgeries performed by Dr. Yaremchuk . In 2000 and 2010. I look very natural and maintain my youthful look for about 15 years now. Dr. Yaremchuk is a brilliant sergeant. His face lift in year 2000 is still looks like it was done recently . Plastic sergeants are not GODs, but Dr. Y. comes close…. I am a Grateful patient.
I had custom jaw and chin implants done by Dr. Yaremchuk. Based on what I envisioned for myself and his expertise, he did a fantastic job. Dr. Yaremchuk won't oversell or overhype any procedure or treatment. He's going to give you a realistic opinion of what you can reasonably expect with any surgery. I would absolutely go to him again for any facial plastic surgery as his work is impeccable.
I had rhinoplasty, cheek fat removal and customized facial implants: chin, jaw, cheek. Based on what I wanted done, the doctor designed the PERFECT implants. Recovery is painful because of how many I did at once but I was careful to follow all instructions. It's only been over a month but I already look AMAZING compared to before. I'm so happy with the results and so grateful to the Doctor. Some people on these sites are saying he has poor bedside manner. I don't think that's true at all. I think he's just not a salesman. Despite being shy at heart, he's the most skilled plastic surgeon I could find and I'm so glad I went halfway across the country to my work done with him. If you want facial surgery done, he is the BEST.
Terrible. He paralyzed one side of my face and then blamed me because I had "elected" a surgery he had pushed on me. He wanted to "correct" what he thought was another surgeon's bad work, which was actually fine, and in doing that placed a 3 inch incision next to my eye we hadn't discussed. I awoke from surgery permanently disfigured. I tell people I was in a car accident that left my face scarred and paralyzed. He also seriously compromised my vision, leaving me with a dessicated cornea as a result of the facial paralysis. My speech is impaired, I cannot smile, and my life has been forever altered. Stay away from this man.
Dr Y reconstructed my breast in 1996 after a mastectomy. The procedure I had required using tissue from my abdomen, therefore I also ended up with with a "tummy tuck". He did an amazing job that still looks good after almost 18 years. Initially I thought his bedside manner was terrible (he was yawning during our conversation the first time I met with him like I was the most boring patient in the world) but I still chose him over three others to do my surgery after a consultation with each of them, even though they were all more personable. I read other posts that described Dr Y as egotistical, but my sense then was that there was an intensity about him and my gut feeling was that he was more invested in a great outcome than making friends. My nephew, a doc from L.A. Came with me on my next meeting with Dr Y & my nephew confirmed my gut feeling that Dr Y should do my surgery. I did ask him to get lots of sleep the night before my surgery (no yawning) and he did crack a smile.
This is a very good doctor with just the right number of years of experience. If you are concerned about competence and don't know what pastic surgeon to go to, chose this one. I have been going to him for 7 years and I have had no problems. My seven- year history puts me in a position to judge his ability, and he is just a very good doctor. I would not hestitate to use him as my doctor and would recommend him without reservation. I would ignore the post by that other user on 11/22/11. In fact, this user may be thinking about a different doctor/or have the wrong doctor in mind. To illustrate my point, many of the nurses who work at the hospital Dr. Yaremchuk is affilated with compliment his work stating that he does a great job with closing up facial wounds.
I have had several procedures with Dr Yaremchuk (facelift, upper bleph, IOR's) and find his work exceptional and extremely natural looking. I have also found him to be extremely caring and responsive to questions and concerns. After a recent survery I was concerned about how I was healing and he immediately made time to see me off hours on a holiday weekend. Everything was fine and knowing he cared that much about his patients and his work made me an even bigger fan. He is a true professional and an extremely talented surgeon.
