Dr Dillingham referred me to Dr Barry, in the hopes that hylaronic acid injections by Dr Barry would fix a bone spur problem. Barry was a good example of "failure to listen to the patient". She simply did not listen to me at all and mis-diagnosed several times. My knee was filling up with fluid and I was going to her weekly to drain the knee. After the forth week, she decided that draining the knee is only done bi-annually after draining the knee weekly for a month. Really? One what sound basis was that decision? I still have the fluid build up in the knee, and incredible pain from the fluid and from the bone spurs. Barry kept on telling me the problem was one thing or another, anything but what it was and wouldn't listen to me. If she won't listen to me, so won't listen to you. As a result of this "care", I have gone from being able to walk to now having to use a walker.

Dr. Barry is an outstanding phsyician. She has lots of experience, is a great listener, and is willing to discuss options for my treatment. She listens to how I feel about medications and always adds a balanced perspective. She is very honest, truthful and down to earth. In one situation, she coordinated with another specialist to get me the best medical care for a related autoimmune problem. While her staff may be a distraction sometimes, the care she provides is far more important to me. I don't particularly care if there is a short wait to see her, because the wait is definitely worth it.

Can't help but notice many of Dr. Barry's poor ratingss were removed. I found her care in the last few years has slipped. I know other patients have felt the same. She prescribes medication without testing for a illness that should not be treated with the medication she prescribes. Hwe "nurse" is rude and lies. As a previous complaint on Yelp you are afraid to complain. I know this for a fact either she doesn't give Dr. Barry the message or doesn't give her the correct message,

Dr. Berry is a phenomenal doctor. She genlty convinced me (over the period of about a year) that I needed to get on Embrel for my arthritis, as the disease was progressing. I was afraid to do so but she convinced me to try it. It has turned out to be a life-changing decision for me. Best thing I've done for myself in the last 10 years. She has the deepest understanding of my condition that I have ever encountered. I totally trust her judgement. I agree with the complaint about her personal nurse - rude and patronizing at times. Regarding punctuality - I was actually late once to an appt and she was very understanding. I've never had a problem with waiting for her.

I found Dr. Barry to be very helpful, friendly and a good listener. She goes over all the options really well. I also had been misdiagnosed with the type of arthritis I had for years and saw her as a last resort. She made me feel very comfortable and allows me to make decisions on which treatment to get. I only have two complaints - I usually have to wait for appointments due to her being behind and her regular nurse can be very rude. The nurse does not take ownership in mistakes that she makes. She blamed me for not calling her to get orders to the hospital for an infusion but I had left her 2 messages in plenty of time to get the orders to the hospital in time. oh and her scheduler does not always return the calls to set up appointments - been trying to set one for 2 weeks now and she won't call me back. These are issues that are not related to Dr. Barry herself but her staff.

Dr. Barry was an amazing doctor for me. After 2 years of being shuffled between doctors, she finally correctly diagnosed my arthritis and helped me get on the best medication as soon as possible. I don't think she's arrogant at all, I think she is a great listener and she really wants to get things done for her patients. She noticed that I was upset when she gave me a diagnosis, and she told me that she has other patients with the same problem who have run marathons. Since then I've trained for and run a marathon, because she let me know it was possible.

Dr. Barry is the type of doc that tells you treatment options and asks which you want to try, not the type that tells you what to do. She provides samples of meds when new or your prescription is low. When I first started seeing Dr. Barry, I wondered if she was listening to everything I said. She would let me talk, but didn't have much to say in response. I have since seen my medical records and see the meticulous notes she took on the things I said. I usually had to wait a long time for my appointment, often 30-50 minutes beyond the set time. I found her regular nurse to be horrible. She didn't convey correct info on symptoms to the doc, didn't bother to take vitals, and, when she made a mistake in getting my appt. in the books, refused to admit she made the mistake and blamed me. (wanted to tell the doc, but feared retribution, as you have to go through the nurse to get to the doc)
