My oldest son is now almost 21 YEARS of age. We started going to Dr. Becker when he was one week old. We still go to Dr Becker as our youngest is 16 years of age. I cannot imagine their childhoods without him It was like saying goodbye to a dear friend when my sons reached 18 and they had to switch Doctors. Dr. Becker has gone out of his way to help us over the years in too many ways to count. We were definitely blessed from the moment we were secretly told by one of the delivery Nurses about Dr. Becker.
I started taking my now one year old turned in feb. to Dr. Becker in January. My poor little girl has honestly had health issues since birth on antibiotics and always sick. I switched my daughters Peditrican from Hurwitz to Becker. I am please that I have done so. He takes more time then Hurwitz ever did. He lets me hold her and he talks to her so she can get use to him. He is very straight forward, he takes enough time to checker her ears, check her chest, look at her belly and her throat. I had to call over the weekend once and he called right back. He wants fallow ups he calls and he's made me feel more comfortable about taking my kid to the doctors. Yes he's busy what doc isn't, but he does his job!
I have taken my son to Dr. Becker for 9 yrs. and my daughter since she was born five years ago. I have never had Dr. Becker talk down to me or my kids. He is very direct and I like that. When my son was really sick I called him 1 am and he called me back within five minutes. He checked on my son by calling several times the next few days. He does really care and take his job serious. I would tell any to go to him. He has been great for my kids. He isn't on time is the only thing I don't like. I'm normally at an appt. for about 45 minutes before I see him, but that is because he wants to take his time with the patient and not rush through like your a number to him.
I was looking for a dr. as i just moved in the area (temecula) and had no idea where to start... I was at a dog park when few ladies (moms) were there and i asked them if they can recommand a ped. all 3 ladies told me "You must take your kid you Dr BECKER, one of them go to him for 6y. I was very impress and happy. I made an appt and here i am writing a review.... Hes just amazing, know what hes doing, very knolegeable and very helping. My kids liked him. Im very thankful to the Dog park ladies :)
At first I really didn't care for Doctor Becker and would go to Doctor Armani. When my child was diagnosed with Epilespy he was there for me and my son. He got us to the best specialist at Loma Linda and if I really needed him I was able to call in the middle of the night with my worries. He is quick and direct but make sure when you visit him you have all your questions written down and hold him to answer them. He does care even though it don't seem like it sometimes.
We love Dr. Becker. He has patience and understanding. He listens and doesn't get annoyed when I ask him a bunch of questions. He returns your call after hours when your child is sick and gives good advise. We left our other facility when my child was 3 months old to currently 2.5 years. He goes out of his way to make the parents as well as your child to feel comfortable and safe. I highly recommend going to Dr. Becker.
My interactions with Dr. Becker are always very brief and not useful. He talks down to the kids as if they were not there. He has one of the worst bed-side manners that I know. He does not take the time to listen and does not seem to really care. When my child was ill for several months and eventually was hospitalized for over 2 weeks, his responses and attention to getting me the referrals I needed were just ridiculous. I wonder if he would treat his own child that way. I am not the only person who has left his practice. I was fortunate to have had Dr. Amani on Thursday. He is the total oppostite: kind, thorough and intelligent.
Dr. Becker is very judgmental and made my two teenaged daughters feel horrible about their bodies. They are both more solidly built with large busts, they are both active in power tumbling and he made comments that they needed to "eat more vegetables and less fast food!" (WE DON"T EAT FAST FOOD!) I was extremely angry since the older one had battled anorexia at a very early age. He also ordered lab work because "I expect their lipid panels to be high"….imagine his surprise when they were excellent. I hear he's good with small children, but I was very disappointed at his treatment of my beautiful girls just because they are not the usual size 00s.
