I debated leaving this review, as the staff and Dr. Nikko himself are so kind and I really (REALLY) wanted to believe in him. Therefore, I decided to give myself a full year of healing time before leaving any reviews and/or seeking second opinions and exploring reconstruction.

Well, a year has come and gone, and I am disappointed in the outcome of my surgery. After consulting 4 surgeons (both local and in another state) the consensus is that I need a revision, as the implants were placed incorrectly and the resulting shape is not ideal.

Before I dive into further details, I think its important to highlight the fact that of the 6 reviews on Yelp, I recognize 2 of them to be from employees of Dr. Nikko. A little suspicious to say the least.

Now. Below I will detail several reasons why I would not recommend Dr. Nikko for any sort of plastic surgery. I hope this helps anyone considering surgery in making their decision.

1. He's not a certified plastic surgeon. Both he and his employees will try to discount this by saying that certification is only required for reconstructive surgeons, or something like that. I don't know what the technicality is, but why not just get certified? There's something odd about someone practicing plastic surgery not being certified. This should have been a front end indicator but, like I said, they have a script to make you feel like this isn't a big deal. Of all the surgeons in Houston, why not go with one that is certified?

2. Lack of empathy . I expressed concerns about my healing and shape in the months following my surgery. All I got was "no big deal, give it time. they look great!", when what I needed was "let's fix this". After some time I was offered a revision (where I would only have to pay anesthesia fees) after insisting I was not happy. I did not go through with this because sometimes you can't put a price on things this delicate, and I would rather pay full price elsewhere than worsen the problem by using the same surgeon at a discount. I'm glad I didn't go through with this, now knowing that the issue was placement and a simple nip/tuck wouldn't have solved the error, anyways.

3. Cost. On top of everything (not being certified, bad reviews, operating out of his office) his cost is higher than other doctors in Houston.. might as well go to a certified doctor and save.

4. Results. I simply hate the outcome of my surgery. Reason enough not to recommend him. I'm now having to spend as much as I did on the initial surgery for a revision... why spend 15K when you can spend 6K the first time around?

Would I recommend Dr. Nikko to a friend? No. That said, this is only my experience and I share it in hopes of helping others understand how important doctor selection is. Surely others have had better experiences, but it's good to at least know the risks.

Dr. Nikko has been my cosmetic surgeon for years and has always done an amazing job on me and my family. He did surgery on me after I had my daughter and it made me feel so much more confident in myself. One time my daughter tripped and cut her lip open and I instinctively called his office. They put me through to him and he told me to come to his office instead of the emergency room because that would traumatize her much more. He is such a good man and an amazing surgeon.

BOTCHED JOB!! Do NOT use Dr Nikko!! He is NOT a Plastic Surgeon! He does NOT do surgery in a Hospital, he uses his office. Dr Nikko BOTCHED my daughters Breasts and he knew he did. He asked her to wait until she healed and then he would fix the problemS at no charge to her. When it came time to fix his BOTCHED JOB he told her she would have to pay for it. BEWARE!!!Dr Nikko does NOT care about his patients ! All he cares about is loading his bank account with his patients blood money. STAY AWAY!! DO NOT FALL FOR ALL OF HIS HYPE! His office is decorated nicely, but do NOT let his smoke and mirror show trap you into believing he can do your surgery. Make sure you find a Board Certified PLASTIC SURGEON, Nikko Is NOT a Plastic Surgeon, he is a Dermotologist. I think all of his BOTCHED patients should get together and file a CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT AGAINST HIM!! He needs to be STOPPED from RUINING anymore lives!!

I had two big babies and my stomach was really stretched. I tried personal trainers and lots of exercise but it didn't work. When I met with Dr. Nikko for the consultation he explained everything in detail about my mommy makeover and what to expect. The staff was very nice and also detailed. They never got tired of my questions or calls. My tummy tuck and lipo look amazing! I wear a bikini all the time and no one can see the scar. Dr. Nikko changed my life and I'll always appreciate his honesty and genuine smile.

Don't his next VICTIM. I believed this man when he told me he was a plastic surgeon and board certified. I trusted this man with my body and my life. I am alive however, my body is deformed and It looks horrible!!! This man is NOT a PLASTIC SURGEON. This man ruined my body, lied about his qualifications and took my money. I paid top dollar because I thought I was getting a board certified plastic surgeon. This man has not been to school for plastic surgery! This man is NOT BOARD CERTIFIED for plastic surgery!!! Please take heed to this warning. Go to a real plastic surgeon, who is board certified and has the proper credentials and qualifications!!!!!! I am distraught, depressed and have to live with this horrible results from this for the rest of my life!!!!

I have known Dr. Nikko since the nineties and He has been treating my whole family for skin problems and has performed various surgeries on us. I had breast augmentation done and the procedure was so simple I wish I had gotten it done a long time ago. Discomfort during recovery was minimal. Dr. Nikko was so attentive throughout the whole process and his staff was helpful. He has so many years of experience with cosmetic surgeries thus I was informed and prepared from the start. The price was very reasonable and I would recommend all my friends to him. He is a blessing.

Dr. Nikko is an amazing surgeon. He is a perfectionist with his work. He is caring and very honest throughout the consultation process. He made sure I was completely comfortable during surgery and was very tentative during recovery. He has treated my daughter & I with skin issues. I had liposuction & facial injections and am very pleased with the results and would recommend all of my friends to him. His staff was so cordial & helpful. Dr. Nikko also reconstructed the damaged facial lesion for an acquaintance who had Melanoma. He used skin graft and the area healed so well with hardly any scarring. I would recommend him & his staff to all my family and friends who need cosmetic surgeries or need treatments for skin problems.

Dr. Nikko performed a buttock augmentation on me.Things went bad quickly. Nurse told my husband in front of me the reason surgery took so long was because after I was put under, I had a bowel movement and the operating room had to be sterilized again. I developed an infection within 2 weeks. 1 of my buttocks would swell up, very painful. I had to drive in from Richmond which is a 82 mile round trip to have my butt cheek drained at least 1 or twice a week. Nikko prescribed, Levaquin, strong antibiotic for a year trying to rid the infection. I had a drain placed in my butt the whole time. So when I had to drive in & have it drained they wouldn't have to do a new needle. The infection never healed. I begged him to remove them, after a year he finally did. I had to pay $1000.for anesthesia and he billed my insurance. When I drove in weekly to have the fluid drained, they immediately took me to a room, they did not want people in the waiting room to see my condition.Result buttock deformity
