I have been a patient of Dr. Assil for more than 11 years and he gave me my life back. I have a very rare kidney disease, Loin Pain Hematuria Sydrome, in addition to IGA Nephropathy, Lupus, Post-shingles neuralgia pain in both ears... And he has researched and devised special radio frequency procedures specifically for my pain issues. He also has adjusted the procedure to make small improvement every time - the point is that he never stops advocating for me and trying to make me as pain free as possible. His staff has always helped me at every turn. Sometimes first time patients get annoyed because it can vary for wait time for their appointment to begin, but once you realize this is because he is trying to find solutions for every patient that walks in the door beyond just medication you understand. Do you want a doctor that spends just 10 minutes with you and is done with you, but never makes you wait - or do you want an advocate who will do what it takes to change your life and solve your pain problems. This choice was always very easy for me to make.
Dr Assil has helped me tremendously. Having had multiple spinal surgeries after an accident, pain became a way of life for me. Dr Assil has given me the opportunity to live pain free again. He took a lot of time with me for evaluation, explaining each step to follow in a quiet and respectful manner. As a person also in the medical field I can appreciate Dr Assil's effort to help me and his compassion for comfort for his patients.
I am a long time patient of Dr. Assil who has helped my quality of life tremendously. There are several health problems that contribute to my overall health but when I love how open Dr. Assil is to discuss new treatments (whether rx, vit/mineral, health, pysch.) and apply accordingly. You could not ask for a kinder, genuine doctor. Highly recommend. Sincerely, Delia Daher
Dr. Assil has been the answer to my prayers. I had a work injury to my lower back years ago. After much pain and frustration I have been to numerous doctors, many workers comp ordered, and none could (or would) diagnose my real damage. Upon my first visit to Dr. Assil, reviewing the same xrays and catscans others doctors had, he recommended an epidural and medication plan that has improved my life quality tremendously. Two of my friends highly recommended Dr. Assil to me and I'll be forever grateful. He really cares about you personally. There is light at the end of the tunnel. D. Coffelt, Ventura County
After enduring chronic severe pain for too many years I found a Pain Management Physician who was willing to sort out multiple possible causes. I was surprised how well he listened, and methodically developed a plan to learn more about my condition and see if the cause could be identified. It's a great feeling to have a doctor focused on your problem and can feel that connection.I have referred family and friends. Want a great doctor who will give you his full attention? Then this is the Doctor. He also referred me to the best doctors. The only average rating is punctuality, rarly did I have to wait long and every office that I really needed his time he was there.
After suffering a back injury at work almost a year ago, I have been to many pain doctors and all of them have been the same, prescribe me meds and send me on my way. Dr. Assil was the first doctor who listened to me and was determined to find the root of my pain and give me a proper diagnosis. His staff is helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. His office and surgical center is clean and comfortable. Dr. Assil is very knowledgable and extremely helpful. He truly wants to help his patients and in my case is succeeding. I would definitely recommend Dr. Assil to anyone that wishes to be pain free and treated properly. I would never go anywhere else then Conejo Pain Center and Saxon Surgical Center
Dr. Assil is extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. He maintains a very cold demeanor and does not provide his patients with an opportunity to ask questions nor does he offer any knowledge (or time) in efforts to make his patients feel welcomed and comfortable. In my opinion, Dr. Assil should retire and not treat patients as he lacks the social skills and the compassion it takes to build a good doctor/patient relationship.
