Had one visit with Dr. Boone and would never go back. She was extremely rude and condescending; made me feel like a child being reprimanded when I even asked a question. Very dissatisfied with her practice

I was recommended to this practice by a friend who had been seeking treatment for a rare neurological disorder for years. Dr. Boone accurately diagnosed her in one office visit. I came to this practice after having had a cystoscopy at another practice 3 years ago. I left in pain with no follow up. Dr. Boone performed a cystoscopy for me and she was extremely gentle and informative. She took the time to answer all of my questions. She was the first doctor to recommend other treatment options I had not heard of before. Her staff could not have been kinder or more understanding. I had to cancel my appt twice because of other health issues and the staff was very patient with me. Dr. Boone's nurse, Elizabeth, is very smart, informative, and caring. Dr. Boone and Elizabeth went above and beyond to be sure I was comfortable through my procedure. Afterwards, she took the time to explain in great detail - to both me and my husband- what my options were. I highly recommend this practice and I am married to a physician.

I made a previous post regarding my unsatisfactory visit to Dr. Boone's office. Six months later, I receive a handwritten note from Dr Boone herself... Never did I receive a professional call apologizing for canceling on me the day of my appt... Not once, but Twice! The letter reads verbatim, "Unfortunately my computer analyst discovered your critical reviews of me on the internet. Your feelings were strong and very negative. Please do NOT come back to me. There are much better people for you to see. Regards, Dr Boone". I wanted to share this with anyone thinking of going to her office b/c this is who you are really dealing with. If you read my review from October it's not even rude... It simply states my bad experience. And Dr Boone- trust me, I will NOT be going back to you, I think my review made that pretty clear! Quite an ego, huh?!?

Dr. Boone is one of the best doctors I've ever had. She is easy to talk to and she listens. She took great care of me when I had a kidney stone that wouldn't pass. I was so fortunate to find Dr. Boone. We need more doctors like her!!

I initially chose Dr Boone's office because they were a small, one doctor, operation. I have been told that because they are so small, they do not have the time to devote to managing my account. I happen to be a person who compares EOBs from insurance to doctor bills before paying & would question charges that did not match. In addition, just prior to a scheduled appt, Dr Boone's office canceled because their "machine was broken." Instead, she sent me to the hospital, where I was billed over $3,000 for the same test her office had told me would cost $700. Her office manager spoke to me with such disrespect when I called to discuss my bill that I actually felt like there must be a hidden camera somewhere. I was always polite to her staff, despite the many problems. I spent hours trying to balance charges from her office. I am stunned they are still operational after doing business in this manner. It's a shame, because Dr Boone seems very knowledgable.

I had an appointment with Dr. Boone for Thursday at 1pm for a cystoscopy, which I dreaded since they did this a few years ago for me and the pain afterwards was worse than my labor pain! I scheduled a babysitter and they called me that morning to cancel b/c Dr. Boone wasn't feeling well and needed to see her surgeon. Understandably, I rescheduled for Friday at Noon and made arrangements again for a babysitter (although rescheduling was not easy either even though they cancelled on me). I arrived at 11:50 for my appointment and at 12:30 they tell me that Dr.Boone had a 1:00 appointment with her surgeon and couldn't do the cystoscopy & I'd need to reschedule AGAIN. And they wouldn't charge me for that day! Oh, how generous. Needless to say, rescheduling is not necessary as I will find a reliable doctor! Why even schedule my appointment when Dr. Boone would've had to leave at 12:30 to make her own appointment and waste my time again and paying a sitter!

Dr. Boone thinks she is God's gift to humanity. She is egotistical and self-absorbed. She thinks she is a real character when what she is is a real pain in the neck. She is condescending and bragged that she had friends pose as patients to check on the performance of her staff. You can tell they are afraid of her. Still, she is a good doctor. I see her every few years so I put up with her. If I saw her more frequently, I would change doctors. Her office procedures are all about her convenience and not at all about the patient. I think she missed the class on bed side manner in med school.

Dr. Boone is my wife's urologist, so I decided to contact her regarding a urological problem. She was a delight to talk with...very caring, a great listener, very competent and sensitive to my concerns as a male. She gave me very detailed information about any medications prescribed and was always very responsive to my questions & concerns. A very good surgeon with a great "bedside manner", and I have never felt rushed when in her care. Her staff is very competent, and has been very dedicated to making me feel comfortable.

I've had a mixed experience. First visit went great...very nice, helpful, listened. Second visit was vastly different: dismissive, rushed, didn't give me time to ask questions and didn't explain anything. A bit rude. Third visit, I went with a list of questions which seemed to irritate her. She finally put me on meds, and when I asked her about weight gain as a side effect of Elavil, she said "then just don't eat." She was more interested in the fact that Theracran did not tell her that they were changing strengths than whether I could take cran supplements with IC (cran being a known irritant). She told me "try it, then you'll know." She also didn't know that the pain meds she prescribed did not come in the strength prescribed, which I found out at the pharmacy. Unfortunately, that means another drive out to her office for a new script, as GA law will not allow call ins for that med. I'm finding another doc: one on my insurance. Paying this much for rudeness is too much.
