I am very happy with Dr. Groenewald. He listens to me and is attentive even though he is extremely overworked!! I'm not sure why anyone would think they have the right to critique his personal life (and spread rumours). I wonder how we all would feel if someone came to our job and then posted publicly about our personal habits? Yes, he is in the health care profession, but all I care about is that he listens to me, and is knowledgeable and thorough, which he is. He can also be hilarious sometimes!! We all need to remember that doctors are human, and sometimes they are working with little to no sleep as well.

What so many people don't realize is how overworked our doctors are here locally so yes sometimes you may have to wait longer than you want to. Dr. G is one that is overworked & so overloaded with patients. I feel he does the best he can with the amount of workload he has. SO many run to the dr too with every little sniffle etc and that takes up time they don't need to take up as well. I took my daughter to the ER with breathing problems and they sent us home saying she was fine. I called him next morning they got her in right away and in 2 days he had her see a specialist who diagnosed her with severe asthma! So anyone who wants to complain about this doctor I hope you have to deal with the fool I had to deal with in ER and then you will appreciate Dr G & give him a break!! He also diagnosed me with a condition that several other doctors missed in 10 yrs in about 2 mins and I have felt like a million bucks ever since he started treating me!!

Like a Yo Yo. He goes away and he comes back, he goes away and he comes back. Even disregarding all the rumors, he does seem to have his share of problems. I have lost all faith in him as my family doctor.

I have seen this Dr. on several occasions. I appreciated his personal appearance and manners. He was personable and to the point. He gave me his opinion to questions I asked. I was given time to consider options. He took charge with respect to a plan of action and made me feel good about the visit. With respect to comments about his personal life, we all have one don't we. Dr. G may have issues, maybe two. These guys are on the front line of stress and a dysfunctional lifestyle. I think he brings his best to the office and that's good enough for me. When I live in a glass house I'll complain about someones life outside their work hours. I hope Dr. Peter Groenewald stays around this city. Maybe we as a society will insist that our government provide the Doctors necessary to let these guys get a breath every now and then. Then I'll get after him about the smoking lol. Thanks to the site for providing this place to do a positive rant. WH

I have no family doctor, so i went to the walk in clinic. I saw dr. groenewald there, and he was straight to the point, and compassionate. I have no buffs, with this doctor. He offered to be my family doctor that day. he got to the point of the issue, and kept to his promise, as the next day he looked at me again and did the proceedure he explained to me the night before. ya sure, sometimes he can seem rude but if you are seeing 100's of ppl a day, complaining of simple things that can be solved with a simple over the counter prescription, it would get annoying after a while. And...now that yorkton has few doctors, the doctors that are here have a bigger work load then ever before. Maybe everyone should think of that. And as for him and his smoking, nobody knows how long he has been in that er room. and doctors like everyone else deserve breaks too. it's just that they don't get scheduled breaks like everyone else does. Excellent doctor in my opinion!

This DR definitely has some issues. I can handle his curt ways if he would get the job done. He's too quick to write out a prescription without talking very much. Last time I was there he was trying to rush me out of the room and we hadn't been there for 2 min and I hadn't mentioned my other problem. (I rarely go to the doctor) When I drove away I saw him smoking outside with the secratary! Not only that but he was downright rude to my Grandma. I'm happy to say I'm switching to an out of town DR with better ratings. If only Dr. Myberg would come back to this office....

Dr. Groenewald is very knowledgeable. He struggles with bedside manner. Wish he would work on that, because I believe he could be a very good Dr. if he would take more interest in the person. He does know his stuff.

I went to him several times to get to the bottom of an acute stomach problen, he was thorough in assessments and referrals. He did not make me feel as though my problenm was insignificant. he has a curt manner but I have no conplaints with his professional judjement.

This is the rudest doctor I have ever seen. I went with my mother to an appointment ( who is not a big lady) she was worried about stress and stuff. He asked a bunch of questions and got to a question about loss of appetite, looked at her and said, "I see your appetite is not affected because you are moderately over weight". Had he have said this to a young girl who had weight issues to begin with, he could have caused one very sick person. He does rush you out of the office and doesn't seem to care what you are there for. My mother has now found a new doctor out of town, and is happy to not have to deal with him again.
