Dr Baldwin is extremely considerate and caring. Additionally, he is very skilled surgically. He took care of my son with an umbilical hernia. He did an awesome job of making myself my husband and my son feel secure and in good hands. The operation went great with beautiful results. His staff is also polite, and prompt in answering questions. Overall, a wonderful experience.
Poor experience w Dr. & staff. Most terrible conduct given to us by Dr. Baldwin himself for starters...right before surgery (circumcision/skin web) 730 am. My daughter 19 yrs called me at 1am to cancel surgery she was worried she needed a second opinion on another surgeon due to what she and I learned from staff at the baptist(infections related to Dr handling pt to pt care. Despite all, we went even with his score of 81. Indeed he wasn't patient w me due to asking too many valid questions and loudly said you either trust me or not! we responded please help us to trust you by allowing us to voice our concerns. It was apparent he was not comfortable that we asked too much about treatment options nor pain med options. He denied us topical options we requested. His staff and his nurse/wife hung up when asked to be assisted w/a script for OTC med. They acted as if we asked for narcotics!! Deputy Jacobson from Kendall cty called to inform me of taking it up with layers instead. HuH?
He is like an angel to parents of a sick child. Amazing! He takes time to explain everything. He is not in a hurry to leave. He literally sits down and talks to me, every time. I cannot say enough good things about him. I was totally aware of everything that would be happening during surgery and that means allot to a worried mom. He makes it easy to ask questions, and never makes you feel that you are monopolizing his time
This doctor is SO AWESOME! I recommend him to anyone who needs a pediatric surgeon! Not only he has experience and knows what he's doing but he's really committed to help parents understand the problem, procedure, care and instructions for when you go home you have it clear. He circumcised my son then at 4 months of age did a hydrocele (fluid in testicles sack) surgery to him and after one year the skin of his circumcision was starting to "stick" again and he fixed it in seconds when I thought he was going to need surgery. He's beyond nice, always responds to all my questions and concerns and is available if I even have doubts later on. His staff members are really nice and helpful as well...I just wish he was a general pediatrician!
